Destiny 2 Floor is Lava Challenge
Destiny 2 Floor is Lava Challenge is one of the activities you can do (spoiler alert) in The Tower. Activating the challenge involves a little snooping around the area an picking up an item that you’d probably think you shouldn’t. Floor is Lava gets kinda tricky, but we’re here to lend a helping hand. We’ve made this guide to tell you how to finish Floor is Lava challenge in Destiny 2.
How to do Floor is Lava Destiny 2 Challenge?
You’ll need to get into the goal area without stepping on the floor to complete the Floor is Lava challenge in Destiny 2. That is, after all, the concept behind the game, I’m sure you’re familiar. This can prove to be a little more difficult than you’d expect, though. There’s an awful lot of floor around you, and not that many safe spots.
';document.getElementById("serge_5f895c6208f81a315320ec57").style.display = "block"; }To trigger the challenge, go to Courtyard of The Tower and look for a steep slope on the left that you can climb all the way to the top. Head left onto the catwalk and you’ll find a few crates. When you approach them, you’ll get a prompt saying “Don’t pick me up.” So, of course, you should pick it up. This will start the Floor is Lava challenge.
The catwalk you’re on is a safe zone, but the second you step off, you’ll take damage. After about five or so seconds of contact with the floor, you’ll die and have to start over. There are three locations where the goal pillar can spawn, always at the opposite end of the courtyard, in the shape of a pillar of blue light. For us, it appeared on the far left.
Head left, but don’t step off the catwalk. Instead, jump onto the stack of pallets. From there, you need to jump and land on the red crates that you can see below. You can use the protruding girders on the right to help you out, but if you’re skilled enough, you can make the jump directly. If at any point you accidentally land on the floor, immediately jump back onto your target.
From the red crates, jump onto the yellow propane tanks on the left. Time your jump carefully, since it’s easy to miss. The next target is the air-conditioning unit strait ahead. Finally, get a running start and leap towards the goal.
That will end the Floor is Lava challenge, and you’ll get the Quickness buff. This allows you to run faster and jump higher, just like the Destiny 2 Scouting Patrol challenge on The Farm.
