Irene Azuela Suárez is a Mexican actress, born on October 27, 1979, in Mexico City. She studied acting at the Actoral Training Center of the Mexican television station TV Azteca. She completed acting studies at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and the Desmond Jones School of Mime and Physical Theater.
Irene debuted on television in the soap opera Marisol (2000) and soon became a familiar face on television, participating in the soap operas Amor es quer con alevosía (2001), in the soap opera Lo que callamos las mujeres (2001), in the novel The Other Half of the Sun (2005)
In cinema, his debut was with the film El búfalo de la noche (2007), a film directed by Jorge Hernández Aldana, based on the novel by Guillermo Arriaga. But she stood out, that same year, with the independent production Quemar las naves , in the main role of Helena, which awarded her the Ariel award for best actress in 2008. The actress is a frequent face in Mexican cinema as shown by her performances in films such as Arráncame la vida (2008), Bajo la sal (2008), El atentatado (2010), Miss Bala (2011), Third call (2013) and The dark springs (2014)
