Lawrence Munoz, 86, Former Armonk Resident

Munoz was born Aug.15, 1930, in Cochecton.

He was the former owner of Armonk Septic and was a lifelong member of the Armonk Fire Department prior to moving to Alaska in 1972. During his 35 years in Alaska, he was the owner/operator for A-1 Cesspool Service until he retired in 2007. 

Known for his restoration of his 1929 Ford Model A, he frequently was seen participating in the local parades and events along with his well-known smile and wave. 

He was preceded in death by his five siblings; and two sons, Stephen and Kevin Munoz. 

He is survived by his wife, Janet Meaney; son and daughter in-law, Gary and Nancy Munoz; daughters and son-in-laws, Ann Marie Meaney and Chris Ann Meaney and Ian Young and and Colleen Meaney; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
