A Myrtle Beach pastor was released from his duties amid an ongoing investigation into the death of his wife, 30-year-old Mica Miller.

The overseer of Solid Rock Church in Market Common sent a notice to its members on Sunday that Pastor John-Paul Miller was released from all ministerial functions.

The notice states that Miller is released "for a time of healing, counsel, and guidance, pursuant to our governing instrument."

The Solid Rock Church's website was also suspended over the weekend. The website link now redirects to a webpage reading "This account has been suspended."

Mica Miller was found dead in Robeson County last weekend.

On Thursday of last week, the Robeson County Sheriff's Office said they started an investigation at Lumber River State Park, where she died, to determine the cause of her death.

John-Paul told ABC15 in an interview last week that Mica's death was a suicide, though law enforcement has not released a cause of death. Friends and family members have expressed disagreement with John-Paul Miller's statement that Mica died by suicide and are urging law enforcement to look closely into her death.

Online records show divorce proceedings were underway between the couple.

Friends and family held a rally Sunday out front of Solid Rock Church, calling for justice for Mica. Mica's family also held a memorial service Sunday afternoon - at the same time a memorial service, hosted by Mica's estranged husband, was held at the Solid Rock Church.

ABC15 received police reports Monday morning alleging that Miller was being harassed in early March and "was afraid for her life."
