Stony Point Police Make Multiple Arrests
* On Dec. 1, Andre Johnson, 26, of Garnerville was arrested for alleged unlawful possession of marijuana and several vehicle and traffic offenses, police said.
He was arrested after a vehicle and traffic stop allegedly revealed he was in possession of 25 grams of marijuana, according to police.
Johnson was arrested, processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable at a later date, police said.
* On Dec. 1, Carl Embola, 24, of Nyack, was arrested on an active warrant for alleged second-degree criminal contempt, according to police.
Embola was arrested, processed, arraigned and released on his own recognizance on appearance ticket returnable at a later date, said police.
* On Dec. 5, Antonio Lopez, 44, of Haverstraw, was arrested on an active warrant for alleged fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny, according to police.
Lopez was arrested, processed, arraigned and released on an appearance ticket returnable on Jan. 5, said police.
* On Dec. 7, Rafael Rivera, 25, of Stony Point, N.Y., was arrested for alleged unlawful possession of marijuana, according to police.
Rivera was arrested after a vehicle and traffic stop allegedly revealed he was wanted on an active bench warrant for unlawful possession of marijuana out of the Village of Spring Valley, police said.
Rivera was arrested, processed and turned over to the Spring Valley Police Department on the warrant, according to police.
* On Dec. 7, Daniel Ortega, 59, of Haverstraw, was arrested for alleged third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, according to police.
Ortega was arrested after a vehicle and traffic stop allegedly revealed he was operating a motor vehicle while his New York State driver's license was suspended twice for failure to answer a summons, said police.
Ortega was arrested, processed and released on several traffic tickets returnable on Jan. 7, according to police.
* On Dec. 10, police arrested Chelsea D. Powell, 26, of Highland Falls, N.Y., on an active warrant for alleged seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of hypodermic instrument, according to police.
Powell was arrested, processed, arraigned and released on an appearance ticket returnable at a later date, said police.
* On Dec. 15, police arrested Christopher Vazquez, 19, of Haverstraw, N.Y., charging him with unlawful possession of marijuana, according to police.
Vazquez was reportedly arrested after a vehicle and traffic stop allegedly revealed he was in possession of of marijuana, said police.
He was arrested, processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable in the Stony Point Justice Court on Jan. 15, according to police.
